Congratulations!

In October 2005 the European Broadcasting Union staged a concert to celebrate 50 years of the contest.  The event was staged in Copenhagen and was hosted by Katrina Leskanich (1997 winner) and Reinars Kaupers (2003 co-presenter).  Along with video-clips multi-artist song medleys, the centre-piece of the event was a contest to find the best song of 50 years of the contest. Ten songs were selected by an internet poll and four were added by an "expert jury".  The fourteen songs (artists above in chronological order) were presented on a large video screen with support from a troupe of dancers. In some cases the performer(s) came on stage at the end of the song. 

The songs were voted on in Eurovision fashion by televoting in all countries that broadcast the event and the results were as follows:
