1990s

Niamh Kavanagh (1993 Winner)

If the 80s were good for Ireland the 90s saw total domination: three consecutive wins, four wins in total and two second places to boot.  Italy's participation became spasmodic (prior to a complete exit) but their average showing was strong enough to lift them to second place above the UK.  A string of countries from Eastern Europe arrived with very mixed results, German and Swiss fortunes took a nosedive and Malta came back after two decades to some effect.
