Slovenia

Darja Svajger (1995, 99)

Slovenia has always tended to enter more Western-sounding entries than the other Balkan states and did at first benefit, with four top-half finishes from nine entries. In more recent years this has backfired as they've tended to be excluded from the ex-Yugoslavia love-in at voting time, despite sending some cracking pop tunes.

The 2001 Slovenian song had plenty of "Energy".  Watch for one of the dancers taking a brief tumble.
